Doug's an enthusiastic supporter of the use of ICT to support teaching and learning - he's no techie geek - and this, coupled with his teaching experience, makes him interesting!!!!
It's always worth listening to Doug or reading his blog - his eye is always on the important issues and - he's a really nice guy!!
I'm going to try to log any notes, links, and resources that Doug mentions during his two sessions with us today. If you read this and see a glaring omission then please feel free to add something in.

Technology Outcomes : Being skilled in using ICT is essential if children and young people are to be effective contributors, and to communicate and interact on a global scale. Across the curriculum, skills in ICT should be developed in the context of the learning and teaching as appropriate to the child or young person’s maturity. It is essential that all practitioners, in each sector, in each department and in all settings, find opportunities to apply reinforce and extend ICT skills within and across curriculum areas to help equip children and young people with the learning and employability skills required for the 21st century.
