Firefox Plugin: The Drag & Drop.io 2.0 - create drops and post files with just a flick of the wrist

We are pleased to introduce the newest upgrade to our firefox plugin, the drag & drop.io 2.0. The drag & drop.io allows you to ‘drag and drop’ files from your desktop (and even other web pages) directly into a new or existing ‘drop’. It is the easiest way possible to put any sort of media on the web and share it with exactly whom you want. Just select the files you want to upload, drop them on a open drop, and you are good to go. Using the Plugin:

This plugin is compatible with firefox 3.0 and 3.1. To get a feel for what the drag and drop.io can do, take a look this screencast, then check out the full list of features below.

Full List of Features:
1) Create new drops
2) Drag and drop files and directories from your computer directly to a drop opened in a tab.
3) Drag and drop text/links/files/HTML from other webpages into your drops.
4) Drag and drop tabs to the drop.io logo to create a link to that tab in your drop.
5) Continually drag and drop files to the same or different drops, even as other files are already uploading.
6) View the individual and overall progress of your uploads with an improved progress meter.
7) Hover your mouse over the progress meter to see which file is currently being uploaded to which drop.
8) Click the progress meter for the options to skip individual files or cancel the entire upload.
9) Bookmark drops, set default drops for uploads, and save preferred settings for new drops.

Advanced: Drag & Drop.io = Just an Input -- It is powerful on its own... but what becomes really interesting is pairing the drag and drop.io with other drop.io Os (outputs) - like twitter or RSS. Using the plugin you can now drag and drop files into your twitter feed, or out to RSS or iTunes - we are just getting started... how are you going to hack this function?
