Anyone can add photos and links about the Urumqi riots to this page.
Note that the photos (warning, some are graphic) below have been circulating on the chinese internet, and sources have not been verified. I have saved them here so that they aren't deleted by chinese censors. Do your research using the links below, and proceed cautiously if you republish them.

Twitter Blocked? Sometime in the late afternoon (today, July 6) people started reporting that twitter.com has been blocked again in China (it was blocked temporarily during the Tiananmen anniversary). You can stay up to date on reports of the twitter blockage here: http://www.herdict.org/web/explore/id/2633
How to stay up-to-date
Aside from following this page (via RSS feed or on Twitter.com/urumuqi), you can also follow the following links and feeds:
- Jiwai.de feeds here and here (Chinese twitter clone)
- zuosa.com here and here (Chinese twitter clone)
- fanfou.com here (chinese lang searches seem to have been blocked)
- mentions of 'urumqi' on twitter
- RSS feed of videos tagged 'urumqi' on youtube
- Email Updates (from the RSS feed)
Leave an MP3 Voice Message
MP3 messages can also be left at this page by calling 646-402-5689 x 87169. I'm not sure that anyone will use it from within Xinjiang, but it might come in handy if phone service comes back.
